The FutureNow Board has farewelled long standing Board member Bradley Woods and has welcomed two new Board members.
Bradley who is the CEO of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) in Western Australia joined the FutureNow Board in 2009 and in that capacity has made an enormous commitment to the workforce development needs of the Hotels, Tourism and Hospitality sector in WA. Bradley, who stepped down from the FutureNow Board in October 2017, was thanked by Acting Chair Ian Smith who referred not only to Bradley’s knowledge and expertise in supporting the West Australian service sector but also for his strategic thinking and guidance as a FutureNow Board member. Bradley continues his commitment to workforce development in his capacity as Chair of the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Industry Reference Committee and Chair of Hospitality Group Training (HGT). He is alsoa Tourism Australia Board member and National Executive Director for Tourism Accommodation Australia. Jane King Jane King, representing the Cultural Sector on the FutureNow Board, is the Gallery Manager at John Curtin Gallery, the Art Gallery at Curtin University. She has previously held roles as Head of Member Development at Artsource, Executive Director at the State Library of WA Foundation, and Executive Officer at Museums Australia WA. Jane is the Vice President of The North Midlands Project, a regional arts and cultural development organisation. She also represents the Collection Sector on FutureNow's Industry Advisory Group, and was a founding board member of the Chamber of Arts and Culture in Western Australia. Jane has degrees in Economics and Fine Art, and a postgraduate Diploma in Management. In 2015 Jane attended the Museum Leadership Program at Macquarie University. On behalf of her organisation, she accepted the 2015 MAGNA Exhibition award for small museum exhibition, the 2010 Western Australian Heritage Award, and the 2009 WA Business and the Arts Partnership Award. Jane was a State finalist in the Telstra Business Women's Awards 2014. Iain McDougall Iain McDougall, representing the Hospitality Sector is the General Manager of Hospitality Group Training (HGT), which has been servicing the hospitality industry for 33 years. HGT has been responsible for employing, mentoring and training more than 2,500 apprentice chefs and general hospitality staff in that time. HGT won the Small Training Provider Award at the 2005 WA Training Awards, the Education and Training Award at the WA Tourism Awards in 2004, 2005 and 2006, and Hall of Fame 2007. HGT has been presented with the AHA Education and Training Award (Metro & Regional) for the last ten years in a row. Iain has been with HGT since 1995 and came to HGT with twenty years of senior management experience with the Federal Government mainly in the area of training policy. Iain was also the National Chairman of Group Training Australia (now National Apprentice Employment Network – NAEN) from 2006 to 2013, and Board Member since then. He was awarded GTA Life membership in 2013, and was a Government appointed Member of the WA Training Accreditation Council from 2007 to 2017. Iain was the recipient of RCA Employer of the Year in 2011 and the Ross McGovern Hospitality Industry Achievement Award in 2017. He is a current member of the AHA Board.
