A new three-year partnership has been announced between the Perth Theatre Trust and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. The agreement aligns the State's premier performing arts venues with the State's premier performing arts education and training organisation. The partnership covers the four venues directly managed by PTT on behalf of the Government of Western Australia: His Majesty's Theatre, State Theatre Centre of WA, Subiaco Arts Centre and Albany Entertainment Centre.
The new agreement gives WAAPA access to the PTT venues in a targeted approach which meets the training and performance needs of the students, whilst building future capacity for PTT. Under the agreement WAAPA will stage a major musical, contemporary dance season, third-year student production and the Radioactive program in the PTT venues. WAAPA Executive Director Professor David Shirley said "One of our aims at WAAPA is to ensure that our students are well equipped and ready for the next stage in their careers and this agreement ensures that this can happen. It is a remarkable opportunity."

PwC Skills for Australia have released a fully revised suite of draft changes to the ICT Information Communications Technology training package. Comments are invited until COB AEST 14th February 2020.
Note these changes do not follow on from the draft materials released in July 2019. Instead, PwC Skills for Australia are proposing to delete the Certificates I and II Information Digital Media Technologies, replacing them with non-equivalent BSB qualifications, and to streamline the remaining Certificate III to Advanced Diploma qualifications with just one ICT qualification per AQF level, with a fully revised set of specialisations within each qualification.
