The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) is seeking input from arts, culture, and creative industries to help develop a 10 Year Vision for Arts and Culture in WA (10 Year Vision). By completing an online survey, you will be advising the WA Government on how it can best support the growth of the state’s arts, culture and creative industries over the next 10 years.
The 10 Year Vision is WA's opportunity to update the Strategic Directions 2016-2031. Released in 2016, this document was the first to provide a unified vision for the arts, culture, and creative industries, and intended to provide a long-term strategic direction for WA. The DLGSC announced the review, stating that the COVID-19 pandemic has created a need for an updated vision for the sector which reflects the changes in a national and global context, and more clearly articulates the WA Government’s priorities for arts, culture, and creative industries in line with wider priorities for the state. Read the 10 Year Vision Discussion Paper to find out more about achievements against the Strategic Directions 2016-2031 milestones, the consultation process for the 10 Year Vision, and the potential for the 10 Year Vision to draw on the framework of the National Cultural Policy: Revive: A place for every story, and a story for every place. The survey will be open until midnight on Tuesday 22 August 2023. Comments are closed.
