The paper, which is based on consultation to the initial discussion paper presents a number of program design and delivery recommendations to address literacy and numeracy needs of remote learning cohorts.
First Nations education organisation Children's Ground have released a richly detailed report calling for recognition of the value of a First Nations system of education. The report is the result of years of work by First Nations educators from around Australia, and calls for proper resourcing of the system, which would function entirely separately from existing models.

After COVID-19 the sport industry had a significant number of volunteers not return after lockdown. This created a workforce resourcing problem in the sport industry, particularly at community level.
To address the volunteer problem, the Australian Sports Commission developed a strategic action plan. This report shows evaluation of implementation progress. Positively, Ausplay statistics are showing an upward trend, with the increasing numbers of sport volunteers returning to pre-COVID numbers. Read the report Royal Life Saving Australia released the National Aquatic Industry Workforce Report 2023. This report shows comparison changes since the 2019 and 2020 reports. Changes have included a shift towards full time positions with less casual roles. This has been an industry drive towards improving staff retention. These figures however should take into consideration less swimming instructors (mainly casual employees) completed the survey in 2023.
The report incorporates qualitative feedback on suggestions and recommendations for improvements in attracting and retaining staff and detailed quantitative data on the current state of the aquatic industry workforce. This annual report uses survey data to measure digital inclusion across three dimensions of Access, Affordability and Digital Ability. Building on previous iterations of the Index, the 2023 ADII offers insight into the distribution of digital inclusion for different groups and areas of Australia over time. Among its key findings is evidence of a considerable and compounding digital gap between First Nations and non-First Nations people in Australia.
