Sport Volunteer Coalition Year One Report

The Australian Sports Commission released their 2022-2023 Year One progress report on sport volunteering. After COVID-19 the sport industry had a significant number of volunteers not return after lockdown. This created a workforce resourcing problem in the sport industry, particularly at community level. 

To address the volunteer problem, the Australian Sports Commission developed a strategic action plan. This report shows evaluation of implementation progress. Positively, Ausplay statistics are showing an upward trend, with the increasing numbers of sport volunteers returning to pre-COVID numbers.
