Aquatics in Western Australia

Working in the aquatics industry contributes an important role in teaching vital water safety skills and offering a fun, community-oriented space to enjoy the water and wellness activities.

Often working in the aquatics industry starts with casual roles such as swimming instructor and lifeguard but can progress to permanent full time employment as program coordinators, pool technicians and management. In 2023 there are free skill sets training for swimming instruction, pool lifeguard and aquatic technical officer.

Royal Life Saving WA and Austswim are two key providers of swimming teaching instruction in Western Australia.
