The National strategy to achieve gender equality is intended to guide whole of community action to help make Australia one of the best countries in the world for equality between women and men. It is being designed as a mechanism to elevate and prioritise actions that will achieve gender equality.
This discussion paper has been developed to support discussion and reflection on gender equality in Australia to inform the strategy. It is designed as a stand-alone document to inform the public on the current situation of gender equality in Australia on a general level.
