Australian Industry Group have published a report (28th April 2020) that drew on employer surveys from December 2020. Amongst other findings it describes Australia's skills environment as less developed than international peers and recommends improved connections between industry, government and skills and education providers, urgent attention to basic digital upskilling, increased focus of soft skills and an increase in wage subsidies to encourage employers to take on young people and displaced workers.
