FutureNow is the Western Australian Skills Advisory Body for the Creative, Technology & Leisure sectors.
FutureNow's span includes all aspects of Arts and Culture as well as Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Technology, Screen and Media, Print & Graphic Arts and Sport, Recreation and Racing. FutureNow works with employers, workers, self employed people, the education and training sector, government and the community to achieve relevant and meaningful skills outcomes.
Purpose To be the independent body that provides industry informed advice to influence skills development strategies across the Creative, Technology and Leisure sectors. Vision Western Australia is well prepared with the new order skills required by the evolving economy and changing society. Objectives Provide leadership and strategic advice about skills, workforce and industry development in WA. Work with industry to anticipate and facilitate the shifting workplace and skills needs of the creative, technology and leisure sectors. Provide leadership about education and training mechanisms of skills development in WA through knowledge of material issues and work with education and training providers. Advise on education and training policy matters related to changing work typologies.
