Julie Hobbs Chief Executive Officer Julie Hobbs is an experienced business person, creative practitioner and educator with a deep commitment to workforce development as a driver of economic, social and cultural capacity. Her capabilities in management education and the creative industries are informed by a range of qualifications and a multifaceted career that has encompassed the private and public spheres as well as engagement with the not for profit sector. Julie’s work in the private sector as a designer and as the co director of a manufacturing and export company have lead to an understanding of the spectrum of challenges facing enterprises operating in an unpredictable economic environment. Julie’s appreciation of the significance and complexity of the vocational training and education (VET) sector developed through work as a lead VET practitioner and more recently as a public sector consultant and manager. Tracey Farrow Project Manager Tourism and Hospitality Tracey joined FutureNow in April 2013 as Project Officer Tourism and Hospitality, coordinating the Hospitality Ambassador Program. In June 2014 Tracey took on the role of Project Manager Tourism and Hospitality. Between 2009 and 2013, Tracey worked at Tourism WA as a Research Consultant and later as a Project Officer in the Infrastructure and Investment division. Tracey started her career in marketing research and developed project management and analytical skills working in market research agencies in Johannesburg and London before settling in Perth. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) majoring in Psychology and Sociology from Johannesburg University.
Ann-Marie Ryan Project Manager Creative Industries Ann-Marie recently returned home to Perth and joins FutureNow from the Natural History Museum in London where she held the position of Books and Multimedia Manager from 2005-2014. A commercial role with broad focus, it afforded her the opportunity to work closely with teams from across the creative industries including design, curatorial, content and editorial teams, and library, ICT and media professionals. She has a BA English from Curtin University where she majored in Creative Writing and Cultural Studies.
