Tourism Research Australia (TRA) has released the State Tourism Satellite Accounts 2016-17, which show tourism’s contribution to each state and territory’s economy.
In 2016-17, tourism was worth $11.8 billion to Western Australia’s economy, marking a 0.9% increase on 2015-16. During this period, the tourism industry in WA was staffed by 103,900 workers.
