The Commonwealth and Western Australian Governments have today announced $7 million in funding to increase employment and recreational opportunities for people with disability. The third round of Information, Linkages and Capacity (ILC) Building grants follows joint State and Commonwealth funding of nearly $9 million awarded to 65 projects across WA in 2017-18. The ILC is a key component of the Australia-wide National Disability Insurance Scheme and is focused on building the capacity of the community, people with disability, their families and carers. This round of funding focuses on building capacity to improve recreational and employment opportunities for people with disability and raising awareness of their contributions. Expressions of interest close on December 3, 2018. More information is available here and on the Tenders WA website here.
