Connecting Tourism Industry with student internships

Forum Advocating Cultural and Eco-Tourism (FACET) is hosting their next FACET Forum on Wednesday 27 March focussing on the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Program. The Forum will highlight how the WIL Program can assist Tourism, Hospitality and Events business source student expertise. Selected universities will explain the types of internships available and how to connect with the right people.

Please feel free to get in touch with me directly ([email protected]). Are you enquiring about Hospitality specifically?
The Forum facilitated by FACET addressed the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Program for Hospitality and Tourism bachelor students at ECU, Curtin and Murdoch universities, although the WIL Program runs across all industry sectors. This Program would therefore not extend to school students, but the info I could share is that certain schools do have partnerships with hotels, which are arranged directly between the school and hotel. It is dependant on what the work experience is and where (location) it is to be undertaken.
