![]() The Australia Council for the Arts has released a report highlighting the significant growth in International tourists to Australia engaging in the arts. Arts tourists are also more likely to travel to areas outside of metropolitan cities, reflecting the importance of art in sharing Australian culture globally and building international tourism, particularly outside our capital cities. Arts tourists in Australia are described as visiting or attending at least one arts activity such as theatre, concerts, other performing arts; museums or galleries; art/craft studios or workshops; festivals/fairs or cultural events; First Nations art/craft and cultural displays; or First Nations performance.
