The WA Sports Federation unveiled a new name and logo in September as part of an extensive rebranding initiative, with the peak industry body for sport in Western Australia now known as SportWest. SportWest Chairman Michael Beros says the rebranding is a reflection of the Board’s strong belief that sport can have a profoundly positive impact on the lives of West Australians. “The capacity of sport to bring people together, to connect people and contribute to the vibrancy of communities can’t be underestimated. We’re here to represent and support our members who contribute in so many ways to make a positive impact”, said Beros. The change also brings about a change to the RAC WA Sports Star Awards, which will be known as the RAC SportWest Awards – a reflection of the broader celebration of sport in WA and its value to communities across the State. Visit the SportWest website. If you run a tourism or hospitality business, we invite you to have your say on skills needs in the industry. We encourage you to participate by completing one of the surveys below, as relevant to your business. The surveys are designed to identify critical staff shortages and skills needs in WA’s tourism and hospitality businesses. The results will inform a hospitality and tourism workforce plan currently being developed by the State government. The tourism survey The hospitality survey |
