![]() Science Minister Dave Kelly has opened the 2018 round of the Premier's Science Fellowship Program, during the Data Science Innovation Hub launch at the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre. The state government is providing $1.5 million over four years to attract a Premier's Science Fellow (a leading researcher) and a supporting Premier's Early to Mid-Career Fellow to significantly advance research in Western Australia related to automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Western Australia has existing strengths in this area of research and associated applications, particularly in the resources and energy industries.
