Animal Care and Management - Qualifications and units available for feedback

Skills Impact is seeking feedback on whether the qualifications, skill sets and units of competency developed for the Animal Incident Management Project and the Horse Education Project reflect the current skills standards and practices of industry, and whether job functions are accurately described.   Link to the relevant project page to leave feedback or register for a consultation workshop or webinar.  Documents will be available for feedback until 1 March 2019.
 
Animal Incident Management Project
Twelve new units and five new skill sets have been devised and three existing units have been reviewed with a focus on minimising the risk of injury to people involved and improving animal welfare outcomes. This includes the development and review of units related to animal first aid.    Visit the project page.

Horse Education Project
Four new units of competency have been developed and three existing units revised as part of the Horse Education Project.  This review has focused on fostering a safe environment for learners and ensuring the welfare of horses.   Visit the project page
