sport, recreation and racing

The sport, recreation and racing industries provide a number of diverse, challenging and rewarding opportunities. These industries contribute in a vital way to the community and impact positively on people’s lives by improving their health and wellbeing.

A career in the sport, recreation and racing industries can be exciting but challenging. There are many opportunities to work in a diverse range of environments, and with a number of different people. Employment is often part time, casual or seasonal and is typically not 9am-5pm, so be prepared to work early mornings, late nights and on weekends. Experience counts for a lot, so volunteering is a great way to get your foot in the door and to get a taste of some of the career opportunities available out there.
