Sixty of the state's highest achieving apprentices and trainees will represent Western Australia in the World Skills competition, chosen from a field of almost 180 medal winners who took part in WA regional competitions last year.
“Each member of Team WA has been recognised as one of the State’s best trade and skill achievers,” Dr Hames said “This is a great opportunity that will challenge these young people to achieve their best in their respective trade and skill areas and be recognised for their ability on a national stage."
Notable inclusions from the Creative & Hospitality Industries include Kevin Senjaya (Cookery), Kiri Wals (Cookery), Allyana Goff (Web Design), Leisha Young (Restaurant Service) and FutureNow's very own Hospitality Ambassador program chef Chris Malone (Cookery).
Congratulations to all and best of luck for the September competition which will be held in Perth (for the first time since 1989!). Don't miss it!
