Over a course of four years, the State Government is supporting women’s uptake of up to 400 scholarship programs linked to more than 240 occupations across a variety of non-traditional industries.
The scholarships are designed to help women and employers with costs associated with institutional and employment based training:
- Institutional training: $3,000 will be available for women planning to undertake a publicly funded institutional training course in an approved qualification; or
- Employment based training: $1,000 will be available for women planning to do an approved apprenticeship or traineeship, with a $2,000 employer incentive payment.
This application is also for employers who are planning to start training an eligible applicant in one of the eligible non-traditional qualifications between 1 January and 31 December 2018.
Scholarship applications are open for lodgement from 1 September 2017 to 31 October 2017.
