The 1.46 billion Optus Stadium opened with thousands of Western Australians touring the venue and surrounding Stadium Park at the Community Open Day. Attendees had the opportunity to use public transport to access the Stadium, roam the general admission areas, try the different food and beverage offerings, sit in the seats for the first time, and experience the stadium's state-of-the-art lighting, video and audio systems. Having awarded $130 million worth of contracts to local WA companies for the next five years, the Stadium employs 1,700 permanent and casual staff to support operations and is set to boost the WA economy. $2 tickets available for AFL Women’s Fremantle-Collingwood match on 10 February, including free public transport.
