The Cultural Ministers Council recently met in Alice Springs to discuss a range of issues relating to the art and cultural sector. Outcomes of the cultural discussions included:

Endorsement of an Indigenous Contemporary Music Action Plan

An update on the implementation of the Government's response to the Senate Inquiry into Indigenous Visual Arts

Update on the current progress of the Contemporary Music Development Working Group

Initiatives and programs being undertaken in the area of education and the arts

Current progress of the development of a National Arts and Disability Strategy

Endorsement of the Cultural Ministers Council Strategy
