FutureNow, as the lead organisation in the implementation process which involves the grouping of a range of creative and leisure industry sectors under one training council, is close to finalising the establishment of a high level Board to provide strategic leadership to the organisation.
The synergies embracing industry sectors such as the arts, sport and recreation, hospitality and tourism, information, media and telecommunications will provide the opportunity to maximise skills development opportunities into the future. While the 'caretaker arrangements' brought about by the state election may delay the implementation timeframe, FutureNow is still working to the early November start date previously advised.
