Changes to Western Australia's Training Laws |

The Hon Mr Peter Collier, Minister for Training has announced a new direction for WA's training sector with changes to the State's training laws set to be re-introduced to Parliament. The changes to the training laws will modernise the training system in WA and bring legislation in line with today's workforce requirements.

Government's Training Response to Global Financial Crisis |

The Rudd Government has announced the creation of an additional 56,000 new training places as part of the $10.3 billion Economic Security Strategy to protect the Australian economy from the global financial crisis. This funding will double the Productivity Places Program from 57,000 to 113,000, to provide more skilled labour to meet the needs of industry.

Industry Training Advisory Arrangements |

The introduction of the new industry training advisory arrangements has been delayed as a result of the caretaker period of government leading up to and following the State election. We are currently awaiting confirmation from the new government to implement the arrangements. We will advise you as soon as this happens.
